Contrary to oft-repeated clichés, if treated with the respect they deserve, wild animals are not—apart from a few rare exceptions—a threat to humans.
Quite the opposite, if not confronted with an aggressive human attitude, animals, and especially predators driven by their innate curiosity, are able to progressively accept and sometimes even seek out peaceful contact with humans.
